The Way of the Transgressor
Being Some Adventures of a Detective in the Discharge of Duty
by Harry V. Dougherty, 1916
This book measures 10 3/4" x 6 1/2" and has 112 pages. It was bound in paper over over boards with a suede spine. There is a paper label title on the spine and the title is stamped on the cover and gilt. The top edge is also gilt. Note the difference in covers between the two versions of The Way of the Transgressor one has no title on the cover as seen above the other does. The spine labels are also different, the one above has the author's full name the other example just has the last name. The typography on the spine label is also different.
