A Message to Garcia
#124 of 100
by Elbert Hubbard, 1899
This book measures approximately 8 5/8" X 5 5/8" and has 11 pages. The text body is set in Old Style Antique printed in two colors on Boxmoor paper. Although the limitation statement says the book was specially illumined the only illumination typically found in these is the Denslow galleon initial on page 1 and that only minimally illumined. The colophon is done in green ink the text is black and red. There were at least 13 different Message to Garcia variants done in 1899 alone!
