Man a Machine
by Elbert Hubbard
This booklet measures 8" x 5" with 9 pages French folded. This book was type set and printed by Axel Sahlin in 1917 at Sahlin Typographic Services, 296 Delaware Ave. Buffalo N.Y. Axel Sahlin was a typographer who had worked at the Roycroft along with his brother Emil. Axel Sahlin also created what I consider one of the finest Modeled Leather books done at the Roycroft. The binding for Contemplations was designed by Frederick Kranz and executed by Sahlin.
