The Liberators
Being an Adventure in the City of Fine
Minds
by
Elbert Hubbard, 1915
Authors Edition Limited to 378
Copies
The book measures 11 3/4" x 8 1/4" and has 312 pages. The text body is set in Cheltenham and printed in two colors on Roycroft handmade paper. The press work is by John Hall and the binding is by Charles Youngers. The typography was by Axel Sahlin and Charles Rosen. The binding as depicted above is paper over boards with a modeled leather backstrap and corners. The Authors Edition of 378 which is not listed in McKenna appears to be just like one of the other 1915 variants without the limitation statement. It now appears there are at least 3 variants from 1915.
