Elbert Hubbard and His Work
by Albert Lane, 1901
Blanchard Press, Worcester Mass
#15 of 25
This book measures 11 1/4" x 8" and has
153. The binding, although unsigned, has the appearance of John Grabau's work.
Grabau was a binder at the Roycroft from 1902 to 1905. He later founded the
Gerome Bindery. This book was printed by the Blanchard Press in Worcester Mass
and was a presentation copy from Mr. Blanchard to Leon Leander. The book was
illumined by from Louis B. Coley and bound in tolled full Levant. I wish
this book was signed as I can not with certainty attribute it to Grabau but the
look and time period fit.
