Consecrated Lives by Elbert Hubbard, 1904
Note: Unusual EH inscription to
Alice Hiles, a very popular employee. I believe she was an illuminator. Both she
and her husband worked at the Roycroft. Although unsigned, this is believed to
be a Kinder binding.
#75 of 100 COPIES
The book measures 8 3/4" x 7" and has 101 pages. The body of the text is McFarland series, Inland Type Foundry. The limited edition of 100 depicted above was printed on Japan Vellum, bound 3/4 Levant and specially illuminated. The regular edition was bound in paper over boards, suede or 3/4 leather with the text body in Dickinson type.
