1899 Versions B and C
These catalogues measures 8" x 6" and have 28 pages.
The title page reads, "A List of Books made during the
year 1899 ~ With other matter more or less interesting relating to an Industrial
Experiment." The title page design is by Samuel
Warner, the illumined initial letters were designed by Denslow and Hubbard’s
bookplate is tipped in. The first halves of both the B and C versions of the
1899 catalogue are identical to version A. The differences are that versions B
and C have 28 pages vice 23, version B contains an essay on East Aurora by
Charles M. Skinner, and version C contains an essay on Elbert Hubbard by William
Marian Reedy.
